Woman in Wheelchair, 5 Other Victims in West Side Robbery Pattern

If at first one succeeds at crime, emboldenment often follows. Such appears to be the case of the dastardly duo wanted for a six-incident chain-snatching robbery pattern on the Upper West Side, Among the victims were a wheelchair-bound woman and multiple seniors, all of whom reported no injury or refused medical attention. On July 22, when the pattern ends, one 15-year-old male was arrested within the confines of the 32nd Precinct and charged with Robbery. Cops are still seeking his accomplices.
Incident #1 (26 Precinct): It was reported to police that on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at approximately 1950 hours, a 54-year-old female victim was walking in the vicinity of 30 Morningside Drive, when multiple unidentified individuals approached the victim. The individuals snatched a chain from the victim’s neck and fled to parts unknown.
Incident #2 (24 Precinct):
On Saturday, July 11, 2026, at approximately 1310 hours, a 71-year-old female victim was walking in front of 2704 Broadway, when multiple unidentified individuals approached the victim. The individuals snatched a chain from the victim’s neck and fled to parts unknown.
Incident #3 (28 Precinct): on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at approximately 1350 hours, a 63-year-old female victim was walking in the vicinity of 111 Central Park North, when multiple unidentified individuals approached the victim. The individuals forcibly removed a chain from the victim’s neck and fled to parts unknown. The victim sustained pain and redness to the neck but refused medical attention.
Incident #4 (24 Precinct): On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at approximately 5 p.m., a 62-year-old female victim was in a wheelchair in front of 127 Manhattan Avenue, when multiple unidentified individuals approached the victim. The individuals snatched a chain from the victim’s neck and fled to parts unknown.
Incident #5 (34 Precinct): On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at approximately 10:25 a.m., a 55-year-old female victim was walking in front of 4240 Broadway, when multiple unidentified individuals approached the victim on a motorized scooter. The individuals punched the victim in the face and attempted to forcibly remove a chain from the victim’s neck but were unsuccessful and fled on Broadway towards 181 Street.
Incident #6 (24 Precinct): On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at approximately 11 a.m., an 81-year-old female victim was walking at the intersection of West 109 Street and Columbus Avenue, when multiple unidentified individuals approached the victim on a motorized scooter. The individuals forcibly removed a chain from the victim’s neck causing her to fall to the ground.
