iWatch… iPhone… AIEEEE!One gymgoer’s workout proved much more painful than usual. At 12 noon on Sunday, January 10, a 49-year-old man went to work out in the Equinox club at West 60th Street and Broadway, leaving an Apple iWatch and iPhone in his locker. When he returned from his workout, both devices were missing; they were valued at a total of $1,500.

Sunglass GutEyewear was clearly not “buywear” for a shoplifter recently. At 12 noon on Saturday, January 9, a man entered the Sunglass Hut at 2218 Broadway, and made off with $1,400 in designer shades.

Coffee BainA trip to Starbucks cost more than usual for a local resident. At 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, a 27-year-old woman was inside the Starbucks at 1841 Broadway, when she got a call on her cell phone advising her of suspicious credit card charges on her account. She checked her purse and discovered that indeed her cards were missing. Fortunately, the charges totaled out at just $141.

Apple ThreePolice arrested three bad seeds following an Apple store robbery. At 4 p.m. on Friday, January 8, three 18-year-old men made off with $5,000 worth of electronics from the Apple Store at 1981 Broadway. They were subsequently identified, arrested, and charged with grand larceny.

Cayman CalamityPerhaps one young man may wish to reconsider the appeal of public transit. At 12 noon on Tuesday, January 5, a 24-year-old man locked up his bicycle outside 423 Amsterdam Avenue. When he returned, his ride was gone. The bike was a Cayman worth $2,000.
