During his regular Sunday press conference last week, Sen. Chuck "I'm the Only One Who'll Protect You!" Schumer called on the EPA to exempt New York from new gasoline standards that require the use of cleaner-burning ethanol during reprocessing in order to help ease air pollution.

What's Schumer got against clean air? The simple fact that using ethanol is expensive, and will likely drive up prices at the pump. He just wants to make sure it remains cheap and easy for people to fill up their cars whenever they like, and continue clogging the streets.

You know, he's sure got a point there. Being able to drive in New York is much more important than being able to breathe.
