    Four Scooter Riders Snatch Man’s Necklace

    A 32-year-old man told police that at 3:57 p.m. on Monday, June 13, he was sitting on a bench in the center median of Broadway and West 87th St. when four men approached him riding scooters. Two suspects got off one of the scooters, and one said in Spanish, “Grab his chain!” Another suspect then seized the 32-year-old’s necklace and pulled him toward the ground, breaking the necklace off him. The other suspect said, “Don’t shoot him; just take his chain!” No weapons were displayed. All four suspects then fled southbound on Broadway. The victim sustained a minor laceration, redness and pain to his neck and was transported to a hospital for treatment. The stolen necklace was valued at $1,400.

    Delivery Man Assaulted, His Phone Stolen

    According to police, at 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, a 41-year-old man on a moped was attempting to drop off a delivery for Uber at 215 West 90th St. near Broadway when two men drove up next to him, riding together on a moped. One of the men got off their moped and pushed and struck the delivery man with a closed fist to his body. The suspect tried to steal his moped but failed and instead took the victim’s phone from the mount on his vehicle’s handlebars. The two suspects then took off on their moped, heading eastbound on West 90th St. The stolen phone was valued at $300.

    Police Seek Violent D’Agostino Ex-Employee

    A 51-year-old man reported that at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, he got into a verbal dispute with an ex-employee inside the D’Agostino store at 633 Columbus Ave. at West 91st St. The 51-year-old asked the former employee to leave the store, their dispute escalated and the former employee pulled out a sharp bladed object and began attacking the 51-year-old with repeated stabbing and slicing motions, intending to cause serious personal injury and permanently disfigure the victim. The victim suffered serious lacerations to the left side of his head, forearm and left arm as well as five separate puncture stab wounds to his back. The victim was treated and removed to Mount Sinai Morningside hospital. Police are still seeking his assailant.

    Younger Woman Assaults Older Woman

    A 65-year-old woman told police that at 11:56 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, she had a verbal argument with a 31-year-old woman inside 172 West 109th St. near Amsterdam Ave. regarding the younger woman’s daughter. The younger woman pushed the older woman into a TV stand, causing substantial pain to the victim’s back, and the victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside hospital for treatment.

    Boyfriend Suspected in Apartment Burglary

    A 24-year-old woman reported that at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 17, her boyfriend texted her, “I’m coming to get my things and bringing the police.” When she got home that night at 6:28 p.m. she found clothes all over her apartment floor inside 410 Cathedral Pkwy. near Columbus Ave. as well as items taken without her permission or authority. The front door showed no signs of forced entry; the victim told police her boyfriend may have had a duplicate key to the apartment. Stolen items included a cash money order, a Louis Vuitton bag, an MCM bag, social security cards and a TD bank card, totaling $12,075.
