    Man Arrested for Assaulting Police Officer

    Police reported that at 10:25 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, a 21-year-old man was observed to be in possession of crack cocaine at 234 West 109th St. near Broadway. The young man punched one police officer in the face and ran from other officers to try to escape arrest. He also refused to be handcuffed, but Yohan Soriano was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer.

    Newborn’s Father Chokes Mother

    A 27-year-old woman told police that at 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, she went to the apartment of her 50-year-old boyfriend, the child’s father, at 315 West 94th St. between Riverside Dr. and West End Ave. to spend the night, having given birth just three days before. The boyfriend got aggressive and placed his right hand on her neck and applied pressure to her throat for about a minute. The woman did not lose consciousness, but she did feel substantial pain. Andre Ross was arrested the following day and charged with strangulation. C/V: CHANTREL WILLIAMS

    Sister Pepper Sprays Brother

    A 25-year-old man said that at 3:20 a.m. on Friday, November 19, he got into a domestic dispute when his 34-year-old sister would not let him inside their apartment at 316 West 97th St. at Riverside Dr. The brother tried pushing the door open, at which his sister sprayed him with pepper spray, causing pain and burning to his eyes. The brother was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside for treatment, and Tatiana Harris was arrested and charged with assault. C/V: JUSTIN FULLER

    Stranger Uses Citi Bike to Attack Woman

    According to police, at 6:48 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, a 46-year-old man lifted up a Citi Bike inside the Broadway 96th St. Subway Station and repeatedly struck a 37-year-old woman – a stranger -- with the bicycle on her left shoulder and arm, causing pain, swelling and bruising. The victim was taken conscious and alert to Mount Sinai Morningside, where she was diagnosed with a sprain in her left shoulder and swelling in her left hand.     Three Men Rob Food Delivery Man at Gunpoint

    Police stated that at 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, a deliveryman was bringing food to 216 West 89th St. at Broadway when he was approached by three men. One of them brandished a handgun, putting the deliveryman in fear for his safety. The other suspects then grabbed the food order from the delivery man’s hands and fled the location.
